Another Tuff Dying Question (Changing colour with Rit Liquid dye)??????

Ok so I have some Yellow Tuffs & I Want to dye them Blue,

I'm wondering if this is possible with Liquid Rit Royal blue Dye & if so how much should I use ?

 I've read loads of threads but not seen if anyone has actually managed this with a decent finish I know that Z'ds seem to be less responsive to dying & that an that Andy used 5 packets of powdered rit on his adidas build .

Not really just something to take on the occasional cruise. Does the dye penetrate far enough in the the wheels or would it come out with brake rub ?

When I asked Rombloke , he told me only White or lavender Tuffs will dye blue  

I think he has first hand experience too, trial and error  

As Phil ( Sawzall) said , there's always black  

otherwise ..... why not just give it a go?

.....I think the yellow bits on the hub are simply because fraz accidently smeared some grease on the rims, obstructing the penetration.

....coupla hours on heat, stir stir, leave in over night ........

Yeah I Saw this thread not sure how much dye he used though. think I'll try 2 bottle however I've now bought 2 yellow dylon packets as well just incase something else comes up & then I'll do them in the original colour.

Yeah the are in good shape, just striped the axles out !

my experience of dying anything is you really need to put them in a big pan on the cooker to get a decent result callum
Im still after a pan though

I did a yellow set of tuffs  into red and they turned out fine

I would have said that you will not get a true tuff blue using yellow to start off with, and it will go a sort of greenish blue ? but you can try

the yellow will turn red as it is a darker colour that will colour it better

if I was you - dye the yellow a better yellow to restore then - then sell them and buy some new blue tuff and you could always stick some caps on for the old look - if they are only for a rider

This might sound daft but to get yellow to blue you might need to use purple !
why you ask ! yellow.blue and red are primary colours so as the pic below explains why as Bendy said just using blue might and probably will just go greenish its just the laws of the colour circle 
Opposite colours on the circle subdue or neutralise each other 
I use the colour circle a lot in my job i dont want clients having green hair

Thanks boys I think I'll re do them yellow & if I'm not happy with the result black . If anyone has some minty blue alloy hubbed tuffs to sell please let me know
