Soak in diesel or a lube/de-ruster of your choice overnight.

Get an old stem, clamp the four-bolter part of stem around seattube, twist and lift  :daumenhoch:

Aye caustics the way to go but make sure you are well protected. Gloves, visor or goggles and do it in a well ventilated area.

Im with Steve on this one, Caustic is the way forward I went down this route after trying everything only last month. it took a bit of babysitting but it came out perfectly & this post was stuck in all the way down to the bb casing, Longest bloody seat post i've ever seen mind you the guy i bought this off was about 6ft 4" !
