Hi guys....well bit of a story with this one really so please have a read before scrolling down to the pictures.
Let me give you an idea of the bike.
This is a NOS complete 87 Skyway Streetbeat. It was never fully assembled and was hung in a shop window in London, semi built, by the original owner.
I originally saw this Streetbeat for sale on ebay over 12 months ago. The buy it now price was £1500.
Not wanting to pay this kind of price I forgot about it for a bit and then it resurfaced back on ebay for £1000 as he couldnt sell it.
Again too much for me at the time.
A few weeks passed and it was back again as an auction style listing. Stupidly I missed the end of the auction....and with a selling price of less than £500 I was, to be
honest, gutted.
A month or so later I spotted a Spinmaster for sale on ebay and randomly happened to email the guy to see if he'd do a 'buy it now'
Speaking to the guy it turns out he had bought the Streetbeat...
After several emails I secured the Spinmaster and learned he was a member of RB and also a member on here although was not a regular. (JamyC)
Roll on around 8 months and I gets an unexpected email from Jamie asking if I'd be interested in buying the streetbeat as he wasnt 'feeling it...'
Two days later and I travelled the 25 minutes to Jamies house and took ownership.
That was a couple of months ago.
Here it is...
87 Skyway Streetbeat, now fully assembled with the original reflectors that came in the box. This is the first time its ever been built up completely.
The only thing I've added are the NOS Tuff reflectors, and a couple of bits off the 990 that were missing, the rest is how it came.
Big big thanks to Jamie and his mrs, very nice people.
Thanks also to Rob Pickle for the 990 accessories.
Hope you like.
