81 GT Pro wheel fitment
« on: May 07, 2013, 01:18 PM »
Any reason why a set of 1.50 ukai's don't seem to want to fit onto a GT Pro from '81. Seems like the rear dropouts are too wide (the rims fit onto my '83 Ripper okay) and the slots on the front dropouts seem smaller than the diameter of the axle threads??

I'm probably being a twat but any thoughts would be appreciated...  :idiot2:

Cheers,

Neil

Axle with flats most likely on the front, and rear dropouts/frame prob needs extra spacers on the axle to accommodate the width. Most likely been stretched/bent at some point to fit a wheel with a wider hub.
