Manual rolls and Hang 5
« on: April 29, 2013, 03:57 PM »
Need some tips for learning manual rolls and hang 5 on a new school bike :LolLolLolLol:

Is it better to try hang fives down a bit of a slope, or on the flat. How high should seat be? Its slammed down at the moment.

Is it better to try manual rolls up hill or on flat, slow or fast? Using brake etc? And what sort of pressure in tyres, can go up to 65psi.

Just recently got back into bmx and learning all the 80s stuff on my Haro, but want to learn some new tricks on my new school bike :)

Thanks :daumenhoch:

I spent two hours trying them the other night :LolLolLolLol: I will stop trying to hang five downhill ;D and maybe higher the seat. Its going to be a steep learning curve but loving the new school bikes :)

Can't believe the stuff kids are doing nowadays! Wish we had light bikes and local skateparks BITD.

think you need a tiny bit more speed for the hang 5, all about the balance point, i'd be happy with both of those progress Paul

Garran, I will try a bit more speed next time :) pretty scary trick starting off and with a low seat. I can still do same sort of trick backwards with higher seat, I could do it for ages about 20 years ago :LolLolLolLol:

If I still have some balance left from the 80s hopefully improve on both tricks soon :daumenhoch:

Mate, just keep trying them and distance and consistency will follow. They looked pretty rad, nice style too
