There was a bit in this book that said 'here's a freestyle bike' and there was a Ripper and a Haro... and the Ripper looked soooooo tasty  :smitten:

Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

I remember one of the "bigger boys" at our bmx track had one in white....it looked so much cooler than any other bike

And that's why I love em  :smitten:

The day me and my Dad went to J&E James in Chesterfield to pick mine up I was sooooooooooooooooo excited.
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

3 friends had Rippers

2 white ones with black Tuffs  :coolsmiley:

But Brian Beveridge had a Ball burnished Ripper . blue Z rims and the Full SE camo race gear , oh yes   :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Thr whole SE deal ,,,,,the frames , the team , the camo. soooo cool

Everybody round our way thought Rippers  were the coolest  :coolsmiley:

I loved Rippers bitd but they were our most returned frames, always seemed to break at the chainstay behind the bb.  I was always impressed by Mike Buffs feats on his Ripper and have to say his rides always looked cool.

think it was all about your riding style and how clumsy you was at landing,  theres no denying they were the best looking frames with the best forks...    :smitten:

I got my 1st one when my old Man told me he found the BMX I wanted in the paper and to go with him to collect it. On the way he told me it was a Halfords bike, I found it hard to hide my disappointment until we rolled up and this lad said " so your the lucky kid who's getting the P.K Ripper"....that was simply the best BMX moment I have ever had  :4_17_5:

Loved that bike and still have it now  :smitten: SE by far the coolest brand out there bitd

As a kid I never did freestyle parks or ramps because we didn't have any where I lived. Did the usual bunny hopping milk crates or home made jump ramps and we build some jumps in the woods near where I lived :smitten:

I raced my ripper for at least a season and never had a problem  :daumenhoch:
