My fiirst time......

at fitting a freecoaster  :daumenhoch:

I picked up these 'scabby' minty first gen black Tuff II's to complement my Kuwahara that I am slowly gathering parts for to rebuild it.

It came with a 22T cog, yes, 22T   and as I hate coasters anyway, I thought I would fit a NOS ACS Freecoaster I have to them. Never done one before so thought I would give it a bash.

I got carried away and stripped the complete coaster and decided to re-grease the complete setup. Sorry no pics as my hands were greasy  :crazy2:  Here it is completed  :daumenhoch:  To say it was easy is an understatement. It was piss easy  :coolsmiley:

The idea of the freecoaster is to switch it from coaster to freewheel by pulling up the 2 pins, turning the freewheel a click and then screwing the pins down. It takes around 5 seconds. This was designed to keep the coaster arm in place to enable both options if required. Authenticity Rich, authenticity (unless it's Suntour hex bolts  ;D ).
