So I'm Finally getting to building my quad
« on: April 13, 2013, 05:59 PM »
Afternoon all, couple of questions things aren't progressing as smoothly as i'd hoped....probably should get some tools at some point which might make things a bit easier as well...any way like i say couple of problems so far. 1. Why wont my stem fit onto the steerer tube. Is it a case of whack it with something hard or should it slide on nice and easy. 2. Seat guts and new Kashi Aero don't want to be friends, the guts look far to big for the rails or again is iust me being a pussy and they just need a bit of manliness to get them on? All answers gratefully received.

ref the seat you need to undo the bolt that runs across the seat then put the two long edges of the guts along the metalwork so that they sit nicley then do up bolt loosley move the round part to the position u want it at on your seat post and bobs ur uncle , it also looks like u need to spin the d shaped part 180 its facing the wrong way

Thanks for the tips but its as if the bolt and clamp are too wide. There's no way to nip everything up because everything is too tight? Do the guts come in different sizes?

I just prefer the geometry of them, they 'sit' better if you know what I mean. I even prefer the look of mini to a 20".  Not sure why, could be something to do with relationship of rim / tyre width to front / rear fork clearance. Or do I just sound like a weirdo now?
Man this is wayyy off topic, sorry mods.
