Ok so I need some new shiny bb cups to go on my new build,I have my crank (Sugino ct 175) & it came with the spindle bearings etc , in fact everything including the fitting bolts etc but no BB cups.I'm assuming that all USA BB cups are the same whether a 3piece or 1piece crank is to be used ?When you see a full kit being advertised I'm assuming it's the fitting hardware thats differentiates a 1pc to a 3piece kit as 3 piece cranks use a spindle which is narrower than the internal part of a 1 piece crank arm hence the fitting bolts etc have a smaller diameter .....Basically can i use any BB cup Cheers
Bloody hell 10 views & no replies, surely the answer is not that difficult ?I'm only looking for a yes or no Anyone.....?
open cage bearings all use the same sized US bb cups so are fully interchangeable

I have swapped, bought or traded framesets that still had the cups left in, I left in, and I used them, they used them. They all fit all looseball cages

Bullshit!
Ok great so the general consensus is that most bb cups will work with most open bearing set ups. That's cool thanks gents !

Fookin hell Callum...... just send me a list of everything you need to finish your builds off.I'll delay posting that shite to you and have a look tonight for a set to chuck in the envelope FoC if I have some...... despite the fact that you will probably haggle on the free price Yes, they are all the same size internally where the bearings sit If I can't find any, your local bike shop will have some for next to nowt Spen
Do you know what, I when i wrote that last post I nearly finished with "Cue Seen who will undoubtably have some & will want to sell them to me pending a further haggle on our previous deal" ! Brilliant that you chipped in here Mucha appreciated mate
