Got to say that since I got back into riding BMX in skateparks about 5 years ago, I had an FST for ages and rode it off everything and thought it was the bomb ::)

Then I got a late 87 Sport and the increased 3/4" top tube length made a hell of a difference and the bike felt more stable. It also turned on quarterpipes really nice and I'd go as far as saying that the Sport and the GT pro-Performer were a massive improvement over the lower models with the longer top tubes :yahoo_silent:

I only rode it for a few meetings though as I eventually got my MRD Badlander. The Sport and MRD have the same top-tube length (19.25") but the head angle on the MRD was steeper and that made an even bigger difference as the geometry was getting closer to newschool bikes all the way back in 1985

My advice? Buy an FST and you'll wonder what a Sport could be like - buy a Sport and you will love riding it but you'll always wonder just how good an MRD Badlander could have been >:D

Sorry :-[
Still limping......

Hi

I have recently had a 86 Haro FST built up and only rode it a bit but it does feel good to ride, but it's a bit of a tank :LolLolLolLol: I had a Badlander BITD and they were great, but still think the Craig Campbell prolite best frame for riding I ever had :)

Was trying to include FST picture but Photobucket playing up :'(
