Californian Re-Chrome from Allens - 'CLOSE UPS ADDED..'
« on: April 03, 2013, 08:57 PM »
Thought id stick this in a thread as I have had a couple of people wanting to know the cost and quality from Allens chroming
Frame £250, Forks £50 plus postage each way
As you can see on the first pic there is bad pitting round the BB and this has effected the chrome slightly in that area
Overall quality is excellent considering how bad it was..
Would I re chrome a frame again.. No..! I think it looks to perfect and would probably go for a nice survivor next time
But Im still looking forward to this build

That looks lovely.   :daumenhoch:

Is the downtube decal a bit cock-eyed?  Should have used your laser level, silly boy.   :D

So that's what within tolerance means.   :LolLolLolLol:  Try using soapy water next time to slide your decals into place - it works.   :daumenhoch:

£300

And you don't sound 100% happy with the finish  ???

Any close ups of the BB
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)
