I bought this about a month or so ago, couldnt refuse it as it would look awesome next to my Big Boy.

There were a couple of problems that I encountered along the way, one of those being the thread on the forks wasnt cut deep enough from new....but that was overcome and allowed me to get on with the build :)

Big thanks to a few Radsters that have helped me out with parts, much appreciated guys!! :daumenhoch:

Right, heres the spec:

NOS 2-Hip Stout Boy frame and forks
NOS Tioga Beartrap 2 headset
NOS 2-Hip inverted quill stem
NOS 2-Hip Flat Bars
ODI Toadstool Grips
Dia Compe Tech 77 levers
NOS Odyssey Gyro 2 in chrome
ACS Boa front brake - Stripped and polished
Dia Compe 990 rear brake
NOS Peregrine HP48 rims laced to NOS Peregrine Phat Jack hubs
Kenda K55 Panaracer tread tyres
NOS 2-Hip Dank Pegs
GT Profile 180mm cranks on sealed US BB
Primo Pedals
NOS Odyssey chainring
KMC Z chain
GT halfback seatpost
Primo Hemorrhoid seat
Triple seatpost clamp

And then just for fun.....The Stout Boy alongside its big brother  :daumenhoch:

Looking great  :daumenhoch:   :smitten:  :smitten:

The only thing that I'm not to sure about is the bars. The shape is good. But the tubing looks really thin against the frame tubes.
As if the frame is indestructible but the bars would bend with the lightest of landings.   ???

both are hella nice!  :daumenhoch:  :daumenhoch:  :daumenhoch:  :daumenhoch:

i for one am thrilled to see the 2hips getting the respect they deserve. always thought they were way cool and wondered why nobody built/restored them :-\  just a few years ago people were like "huh?"  if you said early 2hip  :idiot2:

im building vicariously though you. id love to build a big boy like i had back then but i know i probably will never build one.
