1979 Peugeot CPX100
« on: May 30, 2014, 04:43 PM »
Found this little gem today.
It was a racer bitd and won numerous number 1 positions in the West Flanders.
The number one was missing from the plate but the outline of it was still clearly visible
so I quickly cut one out of some vinyl I had laying around  :daumenhoch:
Damn, I sure love this ratty patina look. Especially the wheels with the thick spokes and the bad ass TX 500's.

I gave it a little service.
The opc was bend but I had an exact same one lying around.
Put another back tyre on and made it ridable again.
Tough little survivor.

These are kinda cool I like them.  I've been on the lookout for an original CPX 500 for a very very long time now because of the SE link.

Will do Mick :)

Ashley, I saw some pics online of the cpx500 frame. It's like the Cycle Pro Foilers?

They're part of the Bill Bastian collection hence their looks. It's pretty much the same frame as the FMF Team pro, Race inc RA7, Laguna, Foiler, Kawasaki front end, AAA rascal and then into the SE's  :daumenhoch:
