hi fellas, i have these sun chinook rims (on TNT hubs) that are a green colour and was wondering what is the best way to strip the anno off and polish them ???

i had a quick go woth some oven pride this morning on the inside of the rim but hasnt done owt  :-\

it does have a sticker on the rim saying 'hard anno'   :-[

any info would be grateful

As the label states.....they are hard anodised and i don't know how to get that off  ???

Hard anno I believe is a son of a gun to strip  :(

Hard anodising is a git to remove, it can be done, but the difference between 'normal' and 'hard' anodising is that normal anodising is on the surface of the base material and hard anodising is part of the base material.

This means that when it is removed it will probably lose some of the base material also.

Probably best to not remove it.

as said they are hard anno, ive got the exact same ones on my challenger, leave em as is as you will only end up ruining them trying to strip it off

Got some Gt profiles off Harris today & a set of crupi rounds to go on aswell  ;)

And not forgetting a loverlee vetta gel seat off Betty  :daumenhoch:

cool, they do look good on a challenger especially with tanwall tyres  :daumenhoch:







have profiles and crupi rounds on mine oh and a vetta gel saddle too :daumenhoch:

hopefully my standard sta f+f should arrive from dan tomorrow :smitten: :smitten:

Are them wheels good then? I had some on a Dyno Vfr and didnt know if they were any good had GT hubs aswell
