Went to Kappy's workshop last week to get my forks fixed, they had a couple of dents in one of the legs & a damaged steer thread.
Here's the resto to the dents:

The forks has scrapes & scratches on the legs, here's Kappy sanding them out:

Scrapes gone

Next was the dents to the fork leg - putting some weld in

Making it even

Done - Darren did a great job - dent? What dent?

After sorting out the scrapes & dents the steer thread was next.
Kappy said he had a spare set of forks I could have to use as donors - they were pretty nice ones too - early 90's Haro's.

Donor Steer & RL Fork

No going back now - RL Fork gets sliced

I was quite happy with a straight welding job, but Darren put a collar on the inside of the fork to add strength.

Straight & welding up the steer

Fork completed, straight, very nice job - thank you Darren :daumenhoch: - Now ready for some chrome.

The brake studs were missing from the frame, fortunately the thread was still perfect & just needed some replacements: now ready for a paint job.

Havn't updated in a while, I'm still mulling over trying to get the right paint tone - this is the colour I'm after:

So far 04E51 Salmon Red is the closest I can find:

Finally how cool is this drawing I got sent from Immortal on Museum - he did a Kiwi 20b:
