High pressure tyres?
« on: February 24, 2013, 01:44 PM »
Hi

Is it possible to get new high pressure tyres with an old school look? Maybe 80 to 100 psi? Don't want the big all black ones ;D

Thanks

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

Give them a shout Paul  :daumenhoch:

I bought the white 1.75's which unfortunately they only had one left.....found that out when I ordered a pair and only one arrived lol.  But they did have some black/skinwall ones though at that time so you might be lucky.....they were £20 too with them  :daumenhoch:

Paul - just checking you are running spokes and not Tuffs? The high pressure stuff will pop off Tuffs first flex that's all mate.

I run midschool Primo V-Monsters at 65-70 psi and they grip timber on the edges like sh@t to a blanket. Lots of choice out there with a skinwall on so you can mix up the tech - i'd never ride oldschool tech tyres for sure..... (got a fractured skull from doing exactly that 5yrs ago.....)
Still limping......

I got the frequency G tyres from Winstanleys I looked at the other ones but I liked these more ;D and I don't think I will be going on ranps being 43, 14 stone and a dodgy knee :LolLolLolLol:

Just using bike for the rides this year and trying some old school tricks, nothing too extreme :D

46 ish for the pair, but if the wife asks I had to only put a few quid towards them  :LolLolLolLol: partially true did get 20 quid yesterday and selling some old 80s bmx magazines on Ebay this week so may change grips etc :)

Good mix of old school looks and should stand up to my weight gain :LolLolLolLol: get them pumped up fully tomorrow and take them for a spin if I don't injure myself on my other mid life crisis as its time to get the Bauer turbos out for over 18s roller skating!
