Decals not sticking?
« on: February 21, 2013, 08:29 PM »
Hi

My bike has been done by superbikedan and new Haro original decals on but they are all starting to come away at the edges, I assume its because they are old? Is there anything I could use to stick them back with?

Thanks
Paul

What Damo said, although my street beat frame that Dan did for me was free of any grease.

Where did you try to apply them? They won't adhere if you try it in a cold, damp garage. Get the bike in the house at room temp, that should help.  :daumenhoch:

Nice touch  :daumenhoch:

I usually go all out hardcore and peel the whole lot from the backing, then realise I actually need 3 hands  :LolLolLolLol:

+1

Gets the glue a little more tacky but doesn't leave you much room for manoeuvre

I always use Spray Mount on old stickers to give em a bit more grab, seems to work ok.  :daumenhoch:

Don't tell fibs its your hair dryer  :-*

The gum on OG decals has normally gone off a bit (they are bloody old remember  :daumenhoch:  so may need a little help sticking down  :daumenhoch:
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)
