Tyre Advice??
« on: February 20, 2013, 02:16 PM »
Getting myself a pair of Primo V-Monsters.

Should i go for a 2.1 up front with a 1.95 rear or keep the same front and back.

Any advantages/reasons for one over the other?

Will be used for all round riding nothing too specific.

Who was saying the new V Monsters didn't seem as good as They used to be & had problems with them? They used to rule (apart from wearing down fast) & You could stick in way over the recommended pressure!

i had problems with 2 sets and set em both back, anything over the recommended pressure and the sidewalls developed bulges

there ok if your gonna be running 65psi but if you like running 90-100psi like me then they are no good :daumenhoch:

:daumenhoch: It was You I was thinking of Kev, I wonder if the sidewall has been changed for some reason, used to run way over 65psi in the older versions?

yeah i think the sidewalls have been changed, when i compared the new ones to my originals the sidewalls on the og ones seemed thicker and they seemed to be a bit different in texture/colour

the sidewalls on the recent ones are more 'skinwall' to match the lightweight needs of current rides ( he said sounding like an advert )
