water jet blasting
« on: February 17, 2013, 09:34 PM »
I've heard the phase mentioned a bit, for turning cream stuff back to white, seat/ tuffs etc.

Anybody tried this, or know where to get it done? or am I better off bleaching?

Any help welcome ;)

I will be going down this route very shortly with a pair of ally hubbed white tuffs, another radster recommended i send them to metal magic in Barnsley, google it they are meant to be reasonable pricewise.I will be sending mine there.I tried bleaching a set of Acorn mags and it didn't work and ruined the surface and softened the plastic,I wasn't keen on it. :daumenhoch:

Yep, Metal Magic are charging £25 a pair for me at the moment but I take a lot of stuff to them so they might want a bit more to less regular folk? Took some actual mag wheels (Pirahna banana mags) there the other day for my brother and holy crap, just wait until you see how well they came out. Like new is an understatement
Still limping......

Yeah very useful Spen ;) I have some white tuffs as well Deeman, so perhaps I'll give um a try.

Wonder if they could bring a set back to life as well?

Wish I had seen this a few days ago,

I just bleached some white ogk's , I greased up the metal parts of the wheel but the bleach still attached & corroded them to a degree.

Ah well they were only cheapies ! ^"^
