Locking headset with a gyro 2. 1986 Haro

Would a locking headset nut fit on top of a gyro 2?

Thanks londonhellboy.what make is the locking nut just want a cheap one for a rider.  You may be able to help with another question

I ordered a sst upper cable but it doesn't fit! It has copy Haro kneesaver bars and dia compe bulldog lever no adjuster. The cable is too short in length and the short bit of cable is too long? As is over 2inch sticking out. What length is your upper cable?

Odyssey were clever with their marketing by making the adjusters different on each of their Gen1, Gen2 and SST Gyro sets.

I used the original Odyssey Gen2 cable with a Tech 77 lever. It was a tight fit as you can see. It's like they scrimped on the amount of cable used.





When I built my Dp with a Gyro, I used a generic 'long' upper Gyro cable. I think it was an Eastern, not sure now. It was considerably longer though. I also used a Tech 5 lever which was an awkward convert as I had fit a differeent lever adjuster.

I would say it depends on how tall your forks are as the threaded section needs to stick out quite a bit. My 85 master didn't have enough room for a headlock and the forks were standard.

+1 to that. A few times i've gone to add a nice headlock as a finishing touch only to realise i've run out of thread

ordered the cable from Amazon and will look into getting tech 77 levers. I will see how much thread for headlock, its a 1986 Haro FST.
