WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
FREE ENTRY – FREE BUFFET – BMX and SKATE DEMOS
We need as many riders down at the skatepark for a free open evening Thursday 27th July 06 from 5pm till 8pm(or finish). We have the lord mayor; key council officers, councillors and youth work agencies in attendance as well as the general public. The idea is to show them what we have here and what BMX and skating is all about and to recognise the hard work of the charity and the achievement we have made here. This will help us in the future gaining support when it comes to developing the new projects we have in the pipeline also helping to raise our profile.
There will be a guided tour of the skatepark featuring displays which you can take part in. You will have a chance to see the new BMX track redevelopment project at the Redditch Premiers BMX club stand and this again is going to raise the profile of this to the Councillors, they will be the ones giving the go ahead to any plans. There will be a plaque placed and a short ceremony in memory of local skater the late Thomas Bourne who kindly left a donation to the skatepark.
