Can anyone tell me what length a dia compe rear cable should be? Dated around 1983/4 I think.

Got one that seems too long to be a front, but quite short for a rear....

don't have a DC at hand buy i just measured a new powerglide rear and it was 42" or 107cm.hope this helps Mark

i also guess they made them a bit longer, as frames have different lengths and heigh with bars and stem ?

so you just cut to length of what you need and feel is right for the frame

Rear outer cables are normally around 41 inches and the front outers are 21.5 on average. These are the BMX cables i am talking about as there are loads of variants.
