Mag Wheel Hub / Axle removal
« on: February 07, 2013, 12:58 PM »
Ok so i've purchased some OGK's in white off of the bay & I'm awaiting their arrival,

Once here I want to bleach them up & depending on the results maybe take them through the rit dye process.

I know how to do this (wall at least i think i do as theres lots of helpful threads out there explaining )but I'm a complete novice when it comes to removing the axles / hub etc as i"ll need to strip the wheels down before i let the bleach loose on them to avoid corrosion.

The front wheel is well (just a front wheel)  & the rear apparently has a suntour coaster on it (again never had a coaster set) so basically i'm clueless as to how these  assemblies (front & Rear) comes off of the wheels.

I've looked high & low but cant seem find any decent (how to's) showing the stripping down of mag wheels so If anyone can help i'd really appreciate it.

Thanks. :daumenhoch:

I think there are a couple of different coaster set ups. Shimano, bendix and suntour. This thread might help :daumenhoch:
