Now days you don`t see a rider in a mag with a crash helmet on  :(
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

I brought DiGBMXMagazine (July/Aug06 issue) and hardly any lids in sight (certainly no full face, apart from Mat Hoffman in an Nass06 advert).
When I went to the local skate park 2day for the first time, I had me full face and one of the skateboarders told me that no one wears lids there, which kinda puts you off wearing one if there's a crowd about . Doesn't seem 'cool' to wear one.

I don't really remember seeing anyone over Rom wear a lid though, unless there were photographers there. They did crack down on it for a while after some kid 'apparently' came off on the race track at the side and hit his head on an earth compactor and died. I never did know if that was true or not or if it was one of those stories you hear. There was another story I used to hear a lot over there about some guy called Crazy Legs who cleared the lamp post coming out of the bowl on a borrowed Torker and snapped it in half. Anyone ever hear that one before?

i remember bitd that nobody used helmets at southsea.
the only ones that used them were either in the bowl or the kids that had hired bikes out from the park.

I can't remember anyone wearing lids back in the day, way to uncool.
