Anyone got the books ??

Paul Heyfron world record holder for "bunny hops" sometime between 82-85 I guess

apparantly he did 147 in a specified time on a TRM freestyler??

He was on the TV show with Roy Castle not sure if this means he'll be in the book ??

anybody help?..... I can't find any reference  anywhere

I remember seeing the episode, it was 147 front hops..  I guess they called them front wheel bunny hops?

I remember this too... it was front hops... straight after i watched it i went out and did over 200... and a while after was on tvs doing them too whilst advertising a school fete...wish i had the footage of it

147 front hops on a TRM? never gonna be beaten, the headtube usually comes off after 17

I remember him well he was a really nice bloke, he rode in one of the early bmxbeats.

What i really remember him for though is going over the back of the metal zeronine ramp at a freestyle comp at pontins cica 83, preston and pardon were doing the comentry over a pa system and pardon did a big " fooooooookin hell for everyone to hear when he went over the back.
He def had the highest airs that day and I recall one was in bmx weekly.

Had a 2 hour conversation with Steve Fletcher the other day

Haven't seen him since '86 so ..................27yrs shit

Great bloke , and really interested in helping with the TRM story

He told me some interesting history , in fact it was him who remembered this Paul Heyfron story

I'll let you have an excerpt of what i'm working on

 a customer of Stechford Cycles (John) came in to the shop one day and asked  "can you get me a Torker"
"yes"  said Steve "No problem" and orders one in (remember this is 10 yrs before the internet)
  when the lad comes to collect the bike he lets on that his mum works at the BBC.
 Not wanting to miss the opportunity for some advertising, they get
 Paul Heyfron kitted out in full Stechford cycles racing gear and headed off to the studios to meet Roy Castle on the record breakers

"Oh sorry....this is the BBC, we can't allow any advertising, he'll have to get changed.

The only thing available was a TRM race shirt,"what's TRM then?"the BBC asked

"Oh thats just BMX talk like .....Rad", haven't you heard of it ?

"Oh ....Ok , thats fine then.

Paul was allowed three attempts the first two being pretty poor, but stormed ahead on his third and final attempt to reach a staggering 146 bunny hops.


Maybe not so staggering,after reading a few comments on here, guess the record was broken soon afterwards

just found an old pic of Paul from the early 90's when he got back into riding for a while.not seen or heard of him since.

That looks like it wa taken from inside Worcester youth centre as they had an indoor half pipe which was really cool but you couldn't get much air out of it or you'd take out the lighting lol

Paul used to ride with a guy called Rich who was also on the TRM trick team but to be honest I don't remember much else as it was a longtime ago and I only went there a couple of times with my cousin.

the other guy is rich holland he did ride for trm but his fav and main ride was a pk ripper paul was good but richi was a really smooth rider  . there is no footage of paul rideing on bmx beat on youtube but there is of richi on pauls bike ie trm but the pictor is not that good plus richi did not ride that well that day .hope this helps
