Thanks lads, i'll be splitting tonight and cleaning everything up. Here's a pic of the rear standers, serial and bars. I think the bars might be Kuwahara Exhibitionist bars, they look identical to the ones I sold a few years back, same rise etc... be good to get some clarity on those.

It's an 85, they changed the shape of the standers after that. Does it have any paint in the head tube or bottom bracket?

great going there matt looks agreat project and a good buy the bars look like peugeot ones to me i have some kuwi ex bars and they look similar but the top tube dorsnt bow out but maybe yours are a different kuwi one

Hi there, I've just stripped it back, can't see any paint in the bottom bracket at all, must have been a chrome one! 

As for the bars Glen, yeah they could be, i'll keep researching those
