I have just sent a frame to France.  I wrapped it as tight as I could making sure the drop outs and headtube were wrapped in bubble wrap.  If you can keep the length of the parcel under 1m if works out a lot cheaper. It cost me £20.70 inc insurance to cover the cost of the frame :daumenhoch:
