Hello Fellas!

I came and said hello a few years back but due to one reason or another it never went a lot further than that, although I've been a regular site visitor (just to see all the fun I was missing out on).

Well that's all about to change, I've just got myself a site supporter tag and the other week brought a T1 Barcode frame off ebay, so I'm now working on my first build :)

Would a 2003 Barcode be considered mid or new school?

Am also due to pick up a bike that's been in the back of my uncles shed for 20 years, if I remember correctly its a chrome Mongoose Supergoose, so something a bit special to get my teeth into.

Well that's about it for now, Im bound to be back with technical questions and wanted posts in the coming weeks/months.

Really looking forward to getting involved and contributing to such a great forum!

Oh! just in case anyone's interested I'm another of the 40+ members, rode all through the eighties and into the early nineties and my dream build would be an 86 Pro Performer (done in a Nick Phillips
Anarchic Adjustment style).

Welcome back-ish :daumenhoch:

You get that Nate Wessel Barcode? Keep that as-is, nice and rare if you did get it :)

No did not get that one, think it's still on there. Mines a re-spray so hoping to strip and get re-done.

Welcome back. The t1 barcode is a great bike. I would say it is in the mid school era.

Yes pretty chuffed with it really looking forward to getting it built up and having a bit of a wobble round.
I'm from Suffolk, live just outside Bury St. Edmunds and work right next to the skatepark (how's that for temptation
every day).

Smashing, I can do the grooming for a change then  ;D

Yep - I'm in Bury fella as well - there's also another member on here that is (although he doesn't pop on that often), and he too works right next to the park  :daumenhoch:

That 2003 Barcode is still just mid school - the 2004 one's started to have new school traits (BB's etc).

Any advice or help fella, get in touch :)

Hey Danny

Thanks for the offer of help and advice, will definitely take you up on that, have actually just posted a few questions/pics in the tech. section.

Although I work right next to the skatepark, I've only ridden it once on my nephews 18" Haro, the kids are so good i'd be scared of showing
myself up. I'll have to try and get to one of the Rad gatherings, might get a bit more sympathy there.

Or alternately, I'm in the middle of digging some trails up near the hospital - there'll be starter jumps there and no other bugger knows they're there  ;)

Sounds perfect! I presume the offer of a bit of spade-work wouldn't go a-miss!

Better start getting to work on the bike pronto!

Blimey! A Ripper and a Performer, you just can't sell the Ripper if it's an old school looptail. Although I'm sure you'll
find plenty of takers on here.
