My new build and massive thanks to Super Bike Dan :-)
« on: January 15, 2013, 11:24 PM »
.....Ok, it's another Burner  :D  But  i want to give a Big thanks to Super Bike Dan for Painting and powder coating this for me and repairing a dent in the forks - his work is top notch - absolute superb  :4_17_5:

This is a koizumi Mark 2 Cromo Burner frame made in Japan and tange forks ( not the Raleigh Nottingham made rubbish)

I have gone with the baby blue theme again  - you may remember the custom Baby Blue and black aero pro i did a little while ago (see pics below) and have used exactly the same colours as on that but just juggled them around to give a different look. I'm happy the way it's come out.

The biggest problem i had was getting a seat to match the colour, after unsucessfully dying two white seats, i eventually got Ian (moonster) to get me a white seat covered in pale blue leather, but it was still the wrong colour, so i bought some acrylic dye and colour matched it to the frame and then dyed the leather part only.

I bought the frame and forks from Tommy Tuff, i think it was Beards Night burner theme cromo mark 2 bike, and Tommy had already started taking the paint off it around the dropouts  and removed all the decals, so i don't want to be shot for making it into something else, there was also a ding in the forks which i had repaired before getting it painted, so i would have had to have stripped it whatever.

I had some NOS parts and some nice used parts which i wanted to use up, so i came up with this.

As well as Dan,  also big thanks to Steve esemdesign for my custom padset and OBB for refurbing the levers and painting the Custom M pedals  :D

Amazing attention to detail

Even down to leveling up the pedals for the photos  :daumenhoch:
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)
