Suntour VX crank help
« on: July 19, 2006, 02:10 PM »
I've recently got hold of a set of Suntour VX cranks for my Mongoose Cali build, I've installed the BB etc and when I put the spindle through the bearings the chainwheel side crank arm catches on the chainstays, on the other side (non drive side) there's loads of room between the arm and the stay.

I'm guessing I need some sort of washer or spacer to even the gap out a little, are these available for purchase or do I have to have something fabricated?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Is the BB in the right way round. I think there's bugger all you can do because the crank needs to be snug on the axle or it won;t work on the taper.
