There's a fair few mid school bmx's on eBay at the mo. You've got to know what you're looking for - or still know people you used to ride with/still ride with that still have their bikes (or other mates that do).

And time-line wise, which usually causes a right kerfuffle, I go for:

Start of mid-school (for some companies) = 1988, others not until around 1990. Ends for me in around 2003 when more modern geo/BB's etc come in.

Depends on what your into really Race/dirt/street/flatland  theres a lot of bikes to go for. I always classed mid school as early 90s to 2000. 6mm dropouts and u brakes but still running 10mm spindles and 1" threaded headsets. With a bit of clarification of your needs then you will probably find what you want will turn up on here :)

So (genuine question, not sarky), your definition of mid-school is '93-'97?

Danny, are you saying those dates because U-brakes were being used by most companies from about 93, and most people stopped using 1" headsets in about 97?

Yeah Alex, bit of a generalisation I know as bigger companies (Mongoose, DB, Haro etc) still used 1" and caliper brakes after '97, and as per that other thread u-brakes were on the cards prior to '93. Always interested to see other peeps definition of mid, I know a lot of people say it stops when 1 1/8" came in :)

Oh yeah, and just bagged YET ANOTHER Dirtbike  - Couldn't help meself  (forgive me Chris) ;D
