Toy Store E.T
« on: January 12, 2013, 02:59 PM »
Collected this Today , One owner from  New,Apollo Kuwie E.T toy shop model, all Original except the tyres ,saddle and brake blocks. Some decent parts on it, Ukai chrome 1.75 wheels ,OGK Grips , diacompe 890,s, tech 2s and cables, sugino snowflake chain wheel and crank , win v bars flared to accept the single pinch stem etc ..I know its not a desirable "proper" Kuwahara but part of the History nonetheless and a unmolested example , came complete with the chainguard.Any information would be great and help with an old elina black saddle (tired)and a pair of worn compe 3,s in black would be a bonus .My Only plan for it is a clean for the frame and forks and an oxalic bath for the chrome parts , grease and assemble,.

Looks sweet  :daumenhoch: great condition there and as you say a clean it will be cool

so it's not the top ET model - it the fact that this has been saved and fallen into the right hands - still looks great  8)

nice score  ;)

as mad as it sounds these are probably going to be the most desire of the ET varients in 10 years time,  as everyone chucked them away,  and tbh the other ET kuwahara's where probably just as shite.... ;D

Exactly what I was going to say. Due to it being the lower end model, and marketed as a 'toy', most of these would have ended up in skips or taken away by the local rag'n'bone/scrap metal merchants. For example i've been looking for a complete, or semi complete Falcon Pro Kappa for about 2 years now with no luck. I have a skyway T/A already, but could have bought at least 20-30 over the last 2 years (cash permitting of course) if I had wanted another. Great find with this one and almost completely original too.  :)

After stripping a few parts to clean Today, most of whats on this bike is Quality , the frame maybe high tensile steel but all of the components are made in Japan , freewheel is stamped suntour , hubs are made in Japan S I W ?, any ideas , Ukai rims need trueing but shouldnt be an issue... bars are Win, chain looks like d i d, OGK grips etc etc , does anyone else have one to compare specs?
