have we got anyone on here offering anodising service?
« on: January 14, 2013, 05:39 PM »
ive got a mate whos recently set up  fabrication company. hes also offering loads of services including

metal polishing, anodising, chrome plating, copper plating, powder coating, gold plating basically anything you want  ;)

now obviously dan is the man on here to do powder coating and would even think on treading on his toes
but is there anyone offering the other services?

i have mentioned to him that there is a thriving OS BMX community and it may be worth him looking at doing bike parts.

what do we think, is it worth me pursuing it or is someone already doing it?  :) :)

We have a few contacts for chroming and anodising but nobody like Dan who is 'one of us', just details to help each other out.  So he would have a nice instant customer base.

Ask him if he can do nickel plating as I need a frame and forks done.  :daumenhoch:

Would love to see examples of his work mate especially anodising as its not just the colour but the resto and appreciating the different finishes depending on the manufacturer etc...

Lichfield?

Nickel plating?

Is it Christmas already? Sure feels like it as the only outfits so far to quote me for a f&f seem to think I wanted it gold-plated, not just the first stage of a decent chrome job......

You have PM my friend :coolsmiley:
Still limping......

I agree Spen, I cannot believe how much platers want for nickel plating, when it is less work than a chrome job.

I did speak to him last night about nikle and he did say
It's one of the easiest processes to do. I'll chase him for prices :)

Top man, thanks for contacting him for us.  I will give him a shot on my frame and forks if the price is decent.
