Odyssey mono lever
« on: January 07, 2013, 01:16 PM »
Recently fitted a medium length one and am quite happy with the quality  but it has no adjustment for reach. Has anyone tried drilling and tapping  the body on one for a grub screw???
Any other ideas would be appreciated  ;)

Not to my knowledge. Most people I know (including me) find the medium to be a treat as is.

Do you have it mounted on the straight of the bars, or is it on the bend at all?

On the straight !! Just seems a long reach , me mate has one and thinks its too much of a reach as well !!
I like to cover the brake so I don't land on my hoop   :'( so I normally have them wound in a bit !! Might just put the salt plus back on it worked just fine !!

It's not one of the early big fat ones is it? They were a bit lanky as I recall...

This lever !!
Only put the odyssey one on as I was fitting a quik-slic cable to tidy up the seat post area on my bike !!
The Cable is nice with neat intergrated hanger but think I'm gonna put the salt plus lever back on !

To be honest, SaltPlus is ok stuff.

I'm surprised there's that much difference between that and an Oddy lever though, unless it's the early fat Mono like I said earlier.

I don't want to teach you to suck eggs or owt, but try nestling the lever right up against the grip and rotating it slightly up from where it is now.
