Oven pride on chainring

With Oven pride a modellers paint brush and a steady hand ,you can remove the anodising from sugino chainring teeth an inch at a time rinsing with water as you go . It leaves a perfect machined look and fully anodised ones always seem cheaper as nobody wants them!!

Got to admit a pic of the quality of the end result wouldn't go a miss .

Did this one in the summer  , been rode a lot since doing it ,if you look there is a step in the machining which helps guide the brush

To be honest I just went for it as I'm terrible at masking curves and I thought tape might suck the oven pride in!!  I had nothing to loose as they look awful  with anodising  half worn off by the chain

there is some cheaper stuff now than oven pride called dr magics oven cleaner-exactly the same as oven pride but only £1.75 a bottle-get it in home bargains and b&m stores
