MT Racing Whitefox Restoration
« on: December 26, 2012, 12:52 PM »
Super rare Full Chromo 1984 MT Racing Whitefox. Managed to get hold of this frameset earlier this year and as far as I am aware its the first time that one has made an appearance on Rad or the Museum etc.

When it arrived from the US it was a bit tatty but importantly had no structural defects. First, the decals were carefully removed and sent to Del who once again has done a superb job and they are 100% accurate  :4_17_5:

Frame, Forks, Stem, Clamp, Brakes and Levers were sent to Dan - not much to say really apart from AWESOME !  :4_17_5: Big thanks also to Steve (Animal) for re-riveting the brake levers  :4_17_5:

Some of the parts have been a nightmare to find and it seems to have taken ages - NOS Dominator took me 12 months to source  ???

Pics of how it arrived -

How it should look -

And now fully restored to factory spec (sorry about the crappy indoor pics)-

Thanks for looking.

Nath  :)

Thought you'd done them all Nath, love to see the trouble you go to in these builds
Sourcing those copy parts is probably harder than finding the 'originals'  :4_17_5:

Excellent as usual Nath. You never disappoint! I've never seen one of these either. I wonder how many other undiscovered MT models there are to find?

Grips are factory spec Co-Union and were quite difficult to find. Like most of the components they came from the good old US of A.

What rims and bars are on this?
