New years, new ideas

Hey guys, as some of you will know i'm a bit of an inventor and i have a few plans for the new year.

I've got a really exciting stem in the pipeline but what i'm looking for at the moment is 4 riders who are willing to test a new brake design i have been working on for some time. When the prototypes are finished i would send the rider the brakes TO KEEP  In exchange for an indepth report on there performance, build issues, ease of set up etc.

I have no firm dates as to when they will be ready but everything is in place, once the final mockup passes inspection, to machine a small run for trial. This will be costing me a few bob so please dont put your name forward unless you are a regular rider, are happy to send me a reasonably indepth anaylsis and are open to new ideas.

Can just see some monkeys holding skyway pads. A bit of string tied to the tail should do the trick

I'm up for this, I'm 42, perfected my first wheelie when I was 5 & started BMX when I was 12 when I had an ET for Christmas (yes 29 years ago!) Stared riding old school again about 2 years ago & have re learnt everything I could do when I was a kid, cherry pickers etc..

I also have a bit of a brake fetish & can tinker with them for hours, I love how clear pads work on skyways but squeal like mad, rubber pads on spokes work but to nippy, I'm happy to help you mate & I feel I have the experience to know what's what.

Hiya Clint, a lad who works for us uses my 24' DC Quad as a courier bike, puts some big miles in flying round Manc.

Any good or are you thinking more racers/freestylers?

If that's any use let us know & ill pop in with it

I use my body to slow mesel down and as you know only ride bouncy stuff ergo hydro brake but my mentor Bof would be valuable as he rides tracks and parks and knows stuff

Sounds cool... I ride my bike every day to work and back. Not a huge distance(about 3 miles), part road , part horse path so have to deal with smooth surface and thick mud . i only run a rear brake and I currently use a dc900 , tech 3 and skyway mags with snide brake pads.

If you can find peeps who do a bit more mileage then cool but if you get stuck give me a shout .jay...

Cheers guys  the response is just what i am after, a bit of dirt, a bit of road and so on. If i can source some of the more expensive components cheaper i may well make a few more.
I would love to tell you lot more but i have to keep a lid on it for now and can only say these brakes will fit any bike

For kids with brakeless bikes that don't want to mess up the shoes on their feet but still stop safely?

  nearly, its a Vans endorsed stick you shove in the spokes for emergency postman skids
