There was plenty of these bikes around Wigan mate given Alan was the sole importer for a number of the US manufacturers and we had three tracks within 30 minutes of each other.Three SistersCoppullPreston Pirates
Glad I got out when I did . What about you diggler ?
I have found something tonight, I had some of my R bikes build up for a mate to look at and he noticed my two smaller framed bikes have quite a few differences in them . He is right to they are different In terms of size and geometry. My original one known as the 81 with a serial 112*** and no E or P stamping on the drop out is an 18" TT and quite a high raise in the TT angle towards the head stock. My other one we think is an 81 with an earlier serial 050*** stamped on the BB again no E or P stamped on dropouts but the frame is 3/4" longer at just under 19" TT and has a different shape to the rear brake bridge area and the TT is not as raised as the other frame, but the frame and wheelbase is definitely 1" longer. I have an 83 Pro here and that is 19.5" TT just a smidge longer then the 050 framesetsWhat's your thoughts on this ?
