Bottom Bracket Query...
« on: December 18, 2012, 03:36 PM »
Is a mid bottom bracket an American bottom bracket, but without the bearing cups?

Hopefully I can save myself some cash :)

I see... I was told you could tap the bearings out of the American BB cups and use them in a mid BB frame. I knew it was too good to be true lol.

I'm sure the bearings will fit just knock them out of the cups and push them in the mid bb. Its the Spanish bb that is a different size.

it should work but not always, give it a try and see if they will tap in without too much effort.

I already have the bearings but don't have the frame, just trying to avoid buying more bearings lol.
