Real late '97 - November/December. Looks like that's the free-coaster rear version as well  :daumenhoch:

First lot had red decals, later '98 one's had black decals.

And nearly forgot - they got released under different brand names in '99 - think Free Agent etc - although they weren't chrome (sort of a powdered black/grey).

i know a guy here that still has a couple of  new sets still in the box, But with black lettering  But 48h
does the combo  Blowfish hubs as mentioned above with the black lettering and chrome araya super 7x  match ? or are they way off eachothers timeline ?

i love these hubs i have rear noson a rhino lite rim it makes a real nice wheen and look mint
shame i havent found a front yet at good price anywhere

Yep - 7X + Blowfish hubs are good (7X came out '94 but got used till the late 90's on loadsa builds) till the 'phatter' rims started to come out and 7X's lost favour.

BMXCity were chugging the Blowfish hubs out last year for £15 a pair delivered, so don't spend too much on them (although they're cracking hubs :) )

Perfect, i can buy them for 25 euro a set, same as the super 7x

so thats pretty cheap for a awesome set of rims
