my first build, an 86 haro fst
« on: July 15, 2006, 08:10 PM »
hey guys,

im new here and i figured whats a better way to break the ice than to post my new haro. 1st a little about me. im 15(yeah i know) and i live in the us. i was on vintage bmx but i got kicked off for the dumbest reason so i started lookin for a new forum and here i am. it seems pretty cool here. i like the atmosphere. anyway heres my fst. built not for ridin hard but not to sit around either, i just kinda cruise on it. i also have a master that im waitin to get back from the powdercoater wich ill post in a week or so. here she is.

let me know what ya think.

thanks
tony,

Hi Tony. That's a  lovely looking bike. great colour ( sorry, I mean color).   I'm also in the US- North cal but originally from Scotland.  Radbmx is always the first site i visit on the net. Very often i have tears streaming down my face with laughter from some of the comments. Obviously, there's a very british sense of humour here, but thats the best in the world IMO.  I hope you stick around and enjoy the site and build a few more good looking bikes.
Cheers
Ross

and unlike vintage, you won't see too many threads like 'what is your favorite seatpost" or "whats your favorite axle size" however you will see threads like " whats wrong with my washing machine" " why doesn't my diesel car start in the mornings",  and random pictures of  member's rectums.   ;D

I like what you've done with the rear brake, good use of mix n' match parts and that always appeals to me though I've no idea why. If you want to improve the performance for cheap, though, get rid of the Bulldog arm and get a Pozi-Stop seatpost clamp. They don't cost much, I was surprised at the price and bought one for the spares box.

well i dont like the spoked wheels and these are the only other mags i have. i wish i had $100 so i could order me some tuffs but no such luck so the gt wheels will have to do for now.
