As I have replaced these 4 a lot of peeps on here using Pork Chop replacements .

I amongst other people have always wanted 2 b able 2 remove them 4 reannodising etc, then refit them. Could even get the quick release rechromed  ;) Getting stainless replacement washers 4 the pin is no worries, its the Rivet that is the problem .

I have taken 1 of pork Chops set up 2 a fella I know and told him 2 give me a price as follows  :D

10 off @ £6 each
25 off @ £3.50 each
50 off @ £2.70
100 off @ £2.10

Now u can c my dilema  ::)

Is this worth the bother  :shocked:

so i take it that the rivet is made from ****** metal (?) and that is what is pushing the price up

I know that i bought a kit from pork chop, but i also need a rivet pin for another that doesn't have one, and I also have some levers that need a rechrome that could be put on a copy mx set to make them look nice

it's up to you ? i'm guessing that once you have a bag full, members will come to you as they can sort out there old levers and get them put on by you for years to come  ;)

Only you know what turnover you have been having Steve.
Personally speaking if I'm spending the money on restoring a calliper then I'm going to make sure the release is mint too.
Most callipers I have had that would warrant a resto have had rusty knackered releases that could do with a rechrome.

Paying for a release rechrome to go with the restored calliper and then buying the rivet makes pork chops the most cost effective option in that scenario.
