Well - Yardstix weren't always 5" of ribbed pleasure. One's I had weren't as I'd have cut 'em down. The ones you're thinking of John were around in '95 and were 5". When Backyard started making them they were shorter (and prior to that, which may be the pegs on the WAL - when Phil Evans made them).

(TM) aren't Yardstix, but I think they're the Primo copies I remember from around '94. Turn 'em into Yardstix though by simply trimming off the blank ends on 'em. Pegs a peg really - so long as it's machined
