Mk1 Burner Survivor
« on: December 02, 2012, 03:24 PM »
Picked this up last night. I dont know much about burners, but i think its really cool and seems (as far as my memory goes) to be all original. Its been in an attic for over 25 years so is in pretty good nick too and only took me a couple of hours to service and clean up.
I sourced it for a friend who had one in 83 and just wants it for his office at work, but i have to say im tempted to keep it for myself and find him another one  ;)

Might have one kicking around if you're bothered about it being 100%

This is a great survivor mate, a top find. Looks like an 82 to me, due to the pads. If you did want it as a 100% factory spec bike, the only thing you would need to change are the grips as these look like Porkchop Oakley/Fian copies, and you would need the yellow Viscount with the foam sleeves.

Glynn will put my post right, if I'm wrong. :daumenhoch:

As said, 1982 Mk1 Phase 1 Red Burner. Change the grips if you are fussy, or love her as she is. Lovely survivor.  :daumenhoch:

I did wonder about the grips, but thought some Burners did come with the Oakley style ones. Where might i be able to get a pair of the foam sleeved ones?
