You were spot on with the prices,but that gearing is miles out,42/18 Great post [/quoHa ha! Yeah great find that, spot on about the gearingtho, you must've had skinnier legs than me dude. Now get some photos of the current set up and go build it to your spec sheet.
Richard!!your challenge should you choose to accept it!!!-You have GOT TO now tweak that bike to the exact spec which you desired in 1984!!no ifs,no buts!!You owe it to yourself!You need to lose that stem and that 'orrible seat anyway!!DO IT!!DO IT!!It would be soooooo cool.My first build is still evolving a year on!If only prices were the same now!

There were some big hills on them paper rounds didn't know about gearing then & not much has changed nowadays
Great thread. I think you should re-do the list, but put in today's prices. It would be good to see the differences.
