GT 1988 PERFORMER ADVISE
« on: November 20, 2012, 09:57 AM »
Just wanted some feed back Fella's .
Spent the last three years getting the bits together for my Performer , Just had it Powdered and started to build up , but not sure whether to go for black Rims or try and Source some white OGK's.
Here are some photo's...
...
...
Here is a 50/50
...
And with some white rims...
..

Must give a massive shout out to Dan for the Powder , Del for the Decals , and Costa for most of the bits.  :daumenhoch:

Colourway is such a personal thing!it's like asking other people what colour to paint your living room! It's you who has to live with it afterwards so just do whatever you prefer! Both options look fine to me,I just have a preference for the black on the yellow-it's smarter and more distinctive. If it were my bike I would probably be inclined to fit pro performer bars too-If they are GT pro bars on there it should be an easy trade. :daumenhoch:

Yeah its one of my favourites on the Museum Steve, looks the Business.
I guess the hunt is on for some Gt white tyres now then, nothing like a challenge.  :(

Sweet looking ride chap :coolsmiley:, i would like a GT Pro Performer in my collection one day :smitten:
I think the black Tuff's suit it much better :daumenhoch:  I am in no rush to sell these, but i have a set of white GT tyre's sat up in the loft. They came off my Flex showbike, as i managed to source some white Panaracers & lavender Z Mags. I bought these(the GT tyre's) off a radster @MK10,  they don't have any dry rot or cracking but i will say the rubber is not so supple(but they are 25+ yr's old after all).

Compared to the Panny's i got they don't look as white as in the pic below, the GT labels are in mint condition. I don't think they have ever been ridden on, as the tread look's sweet.

PM me if ya interested :daumenhoch:

Buz ;)
