YES Titan TX Freestyler - info please ?

Okay it's a long story which started with me dissin all 'Yes' products and then me having to eat humble pie to my new bessie mate Stu27 
I made another joke about a mythical Yes Freestyler and ever since I've been on a mission to find out all about it... I got the name at least 

Has anybody got one or had one bitd ...what were the like to ride?.....what colours did they come in? All I know is they definitely made a white framed one.

Anyone got any pics or magazine reviews they could post ?

I'm guessing they must be rare as rockin horse doo doo ?

I've learned that one man's bmx poison is most definitely another radster's fresh meat..( no dissin if we can help it on this thread guys..trying to spread the bmx love around )

I used to do displays for Yes with a group of friends. Thay gave us clothing and helmets etc and did talk of giving us frames to use. Now my memory has gone a bit blank but I think they were from another manufacturer and the only names I can think of are Curtis or Rickman but I have a feeling whoever it was was based in the UK.
At the time we wern't all that keen as we already had bikes we were used to and as we were just offered frames would have to build our parts onto them.
I haven't heard of a Yes branded freestyle frame, it might have happened after I stopped riding, is there any chance they were bought in from someone else and then stickered up ?

Remember YES well, but can't recall a freestyler. Doesn't mean that they didn't exist though. Good luck

I've seen a picture of one in an advert in an 85 issue of bmx action bike(UK)....it was white with twin top tube and looked like the Torker that Bob Haro originally rode bitd.... it had some really wierd mags on it that were a strange OGK type that I can't identify......I know that in 85 there was a 'Yes Freestyle team' from another advert.
From hunting I know that the "Freestyle BMX" magazine  Sept 85 has a TX Freestyler review in it.

Does anyone out there have this issue and let us know what it says ?

What about the 'Yes' brand  itself...anymore info ? Was it a UK brand ? Was it a bit like 'Aero' with UK only products as well as US products.
I know Yes made Hutch and GT Race jerseys.

I thought that Yes products came about after Motorcycle City thought it would be a good idea to get in on the BMX thing.
I think Motorcycle City had their head office in Farnborough. We used to go in there a lot to get Ame grips. A guy called Dean Hemmings was someone high up in the company and I think it was him that opened the City BMX shop. They sold Yes products exclusively, possibly they had links with them through Motorcycle clothing and helmets.

I will have a look through my box of BMX stuff to see if I can see anything of interest that might shed a bit more light.

Yes bike parts wern't brilliant but the clothing and helmets were probably as good as those sold by more well known companies, they were probably a fair bit cheaper though.

The consensus seems to be that Helmets etc seem to be very good but parts etc seem to be very bad and usually awful copy parts

You'd be surprised!someone else probably did have one,just not on here!I had a Yes helmet bitd,it had 3 graduating blue stripes on each side,i seem to recall peeling the stripes off to make it look like a more expensive Yes lid!

I think Yes went under in 85 - which might be why the 85 freestyler is a hard to find, that ad could have been the proto model. Interesting you say about "Yes USA", I've seen pics of a GT jersey in an 87 ad with the Yes logo on it, often wondered were that came from.

I hope somone can scan that ad - would be cool to see.

its wierd but its very close to my aero reflex build ... custom white frame with white/black components...always a good look in my book... RL Osborn inspired chic
