pete quadrophinia will soil himself......
« on: July 06, 2006, 08:48 PM »
when he sees this
he came round last night pretending to be on a social call, then dropped into the conversation that he had some stuff he wanted me to polish, and a seat to dye.....and promptly went to his truck to fetch this lot......

i went at em with what i think is the safest method of stripping anno....no nasty fumes, no burny hands, no stingy eyes.....oven pride oven cleaner....

stripped in a matter of minutes.....then over to my bench drill with polishing mop

resulting in this little lot

seemed a crying shame to strip and polish nos hubs, but fook it they werent mine....lol

hes deffo gonna do sex wee in his own pants when he sees em

even saved the sealed bearing stickers and the ukai decals......fook im good

lee all i have is a polishing mop on a bench pillar drill.....i would imagine a grinder would be fine with a polishing head attached, just mind the speed tho, grinders rotate a lot quicker than proper polishing machines

What 'substance' do you use to get that sort of shiney shine....

Autosol? Peek? Man-Cream?....

They look great!!! I have some rims I need polishing...

Dave,

What did you do to the rims, they are painted if I'm not mistaken. Also what about the sidewalls, do you sand, wet n dry then polish etc?

Hubs look fantastic!!

nope rims are hard anno.....as i said, oven pride oven cleaner removes the anno...

and no, never rub sidewalls with wet and dry, your brakes never work properly afterwards
