What forks. On my first rebuild a 98 Mongoose DMC
« on: July 24, 2012, 08:00 PM »
Hello all, i have just started my first late mid school project a 98 mranks and chainongoose dmc. It still has the original Profile crank and chain wheel. The forks though, dont seem to be correct. I stripped the paint on the frame and forks and the original paint is the same on both.

What are they, if i remember correctly the DMC had a bend in the forks.

Those look like old WTP Flatland forks, the '98 DMC did have those funny banana shaped forks iirc.

Extreme sanding can affect most peoples mojo.

As nitro mors is crap get some of this, supposed to do the job nicely and a lot cheaper.

Thank you guys for all the help, im going to get on the stickers now. Thankfully im in no ruch to have it complete, just want it done right. I have just bought two more projects, a 90's diamondback venom (in a rough state) and a late 90's condor frame. It think its around 98, i got it from ebay, it comes with frame, forks, love bars and a few other bits, all for £21. Its infectious this bmx resto, i wont no where to stop
