You mean its buckled? Or is the hub wobbly. The freezer will keep it until xmas, thats about it.

Have a search - there's a thread over at the museum (and here) about using a set of forks and some laggy bands over time to unbuckle.

There's also a thread over the museum about making a homemade press to sort it.

Either way it's a fair old amount of time to wait to unbuckle. And no, popping them in the freezer don't work :)

If it's not the spindle, here's the link to the press idea:

Failing that you can mount them to a set of forks, and using laggy bands around the fork legs and around the buckle try and pull them back over time.

Never tried it meself.

Wouldnt warming them up help them relax back into shape? OK, heat the wheel up while in a fork so you could see the buckle. Fancy hair dryer with a cold blast button would be best. Heat the wheel up from hub upwards to buckled section, give it a bit of pursuation into place while heating it up, then if straight, blast it cold to set it's position. Worth a try.

If the hubs are not tightened up right, they can have a little wobble

but i have found that they were made a bit like that, and have a wobble in them from the start - some are good and some are... just bad with a wobble  :D
